The Susan B. Anthony Amendment(also called the The 19th Amendment) was introduced to Congress in 1878. The amendment was written by women's suffragist, Susan B. Anthony, and it proposed to make voting rights equal for any sex. In 1919 the amendment was passed, giving women equal voting rights without restrictions, instead of just in some states. It was ratified one year later. |
